Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Saurav Lal ("I," "me," or "my") handles project cancellations and refunds for web development services. This policy is designed to be fair to both clients and service provider while complying with Indian consumer protection laws.
2. Right to Cancel
Clients have the right to cancel projects at any time. However, cancellation fees may apply depending on the project stage and work completed, as outlined in this policy.

3. Cancellation Fees
Cancellation fees are calculated based on the project stage at the time of cancellation request:

Important: "Work starting" is defined as the date when active development begins, as confirmed in writing via email or project commencement notice. Initial consultations and planning discussions do not constitute "work starting."
4. Refund Eligibility
4.1 Eligible for Refund
You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:
- Project cancellation before work starts (subject to cancellation fee)
- Project cancellation within 7 days of work starting (subject to cancellation fee)
- Service not delivered as per agreed specifications (evaluated case-by-case)
- Mutual agreement to terminate the project
4.2 Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
- Cancellation more than 7 days after work has started
- Change of mind after project completion
- Delays caused by client failing to provide required materials or feedback
- Client dissatisfaction with design choices that were previously approved
- Payment processing fees (non-refundable)
5. Refund Process
5.1 How to Request a Refund
- Contact me via email at neohbz@gmail.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line
- Include your project details, payment information, and reason for refund
- I will review your request and respond within 48-72 hours
5.2 Refund Timeline
Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 7-10 business days, subject to public holidays. The actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on:
- Your bank or payment provider's processing time
- Payment method used (bank transfer, UPI, etc.)
- Public holidays and weekends
5.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method whenever possible. If the original method is unavailable, an alternative arrangement will be made via:
- Bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS)
- UPI payment
- Other mutually agreed methods
Note: Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.
6. Partial Refunds
In certain circumstances, partial refunds may be offered instead of full cancellation:
- When requesting specific deliverables to be removed from the project scope
- When work has been partially completed and client wishes to end the engagement
- As a resolution to disputes or service issues
Partial refund amounts will be calculated based on work completed, time invested, and deliverables provided.
7. Project Modifications vs. Cancellations
If you're unhappy with the project direction, consider requesting modifications before cancellation:
- Minor revisions are typically included in the project scope
- Scope changes may be accommodated with adjusted timelines and pricing
- Regular communication helps prevent dissatisfaction
Open communication often resolves concerns without the need for cancellation and associated fees.
8. Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, etc.) that prevent project completion:
- Both parties will work toward a fair resolution
- Refunds may be provided for undelivered work
- Project timelines may be extended without penalty
9. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision or have concerns about the cancellation process:
- Contact me directly to discuss the issue and seek resolution
- Most disputes can be resolved through good faith negotiation
- If resolution cannot be reached, mediation or arbitration may be pursued
10. Compliance with Indian Law
This Cancellation and Refund Policy is designed to comply with:
- The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India)
- Information Technology Act, 2000
- Indian Contract Act, 1872
- Other applicable Indian consumer protection regulations
Your rights as a consumer under these laws are preserved and not limited by this policy.
11. Policy Updates
I reserve the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Active projects are governed by the policy in effect at the time of project commencement, not subsequent updates.
12. Priority Consultation Booking Fee
Consultation Booking Fee: ₹100 INR
When you book a Priority Project Consultation (a 30-minute video call to discuss web development requirements), a non-refundable booking fee of ₹100 INR is charged. This fee serves as a time-slot reservation and commitment indicator.
12.1 Consultation Booking Fee - Refund Policy
- Non-Refundable: Consultation booking fees are NON-REFUNDABLE under all circumstances.
- Exception: If the developer (I) cancel or reschedule the consultation appointment, a full refund will be provided.
- No-Show by Client: If you fail to join the scheduled consultation call, the fee is forfeited and no refund will be issued.
- Rescheduling by Client: If you need to reschedule the consultation, contact me as soon as possible. Rescheduling does not entitle you to a refund; the fee remains valid for the rescheduled date.
